To paraphrase Neitzsche, here's our 'Why' from which all the 'How' follows.
PHILOSOPHY
Recurring headlines speak of the growing incidence of cancer, metabolic diseases, obesity and debilitating hormonal imbalances even amongst young people. Paradoxically as we grow more affluent, we seem to be drifting further away from the simple but fundamental joys of good health and well-being.
The human brain and body are arguably the most sophisticated pieces of ‘equipment’ on the planet, yet somewhere along the way we have lost the ‘operating manual’ and seem to be randomly ricocheting from one fad to the other, with the demands of the industrial economy serving as the underlying driving force. So we are fed a steady diet of foods and lifestyles that make us ideal consumers and labour in service of the industrial complex. Notably modern medicine, which is remarkably effective in ameliorating acute distress and symptoms of disease, focuses on ‘after the event’ interventions rather than prevention. If you take a step back and think, it will occur to you that there really is no reason why life should be lived to this sub-optimal script.
Ebulyent was born out of the deeply visceral experiences and struggles of the founding team with these lifestyle diseases. Indeed it is well-established that where health is concerned, genetics just loads the gun but lifestyle pulls the trigger. And as anyone will readily attest, there can be nothing more painful than seeing a loved one struggle through these debilitating and in some cases fatal diseases. Through these struggles dawned the realisation and the desire to look for the solutions to these problems that confront many of us.
Ebulyent was born out of a fundamental desire to restore people to good health and well-being. To prevent and reverse the damage. It has been a journey of almost two decades of these experiences that has helped refine our core philosophy, namely that we –
Are rigorously grounded in science
Innovate constantly
Believe in personalisation
Strongly believe in staying with the first principles approach of the natural mechanisms of the brain and body, rather than recommending unnecessary pills and chemicals with side-effects
Strongly believe that in order to be effective, changes need to be sustainable
Are responsive and are here for you
